This 67-year-old grandmother was killed when a dozen or more shots were fired into her home that spring evening. Bullets rained through the walls and windows of her south Memphis home.
She was taken to Regional One by paramedics but she died of multiple bullets that entered her back.
Investigators are asking anyone who saw something on Norfolk Street that night to step forward and help. Even the smallest detail could be important.
Ten-year-old Richard Jordan was in a car with family members and friends on that Monday afternoon when their vehicle came to a stop at a light on Airways Boulevard at Ketchum Road in Frayser. Three cars came alongside and multiple shots were fired.
The other cars — described as a gold Chevrolet Malibu with missing hubcaps, a black Chrysler 300 and a gray sedan — fled east on Ketchum.
Jordan, a 12-year-old and one adult were driven to the MPD Airways station, then transported to the hospital by paramedics. All three had gunshot injuries. Young Jordan died at the hospital.
Samuel Johnson was walking with a friend from the North Frayser Community Center. It was early in the evening of Halloween. At the intersection of Wellons Avenue and Glenalp Street, Johnson was hit by gunfire that apparently came from a 2010 Mitsubishi Gallant. The victim died a short time later at Methodist North Hospital.
Investigators need help developing leads in this homicide.
It was about 6 p.m. on a Friday evening — Halloween — October 31, 2014 when Samuel D. Johnson and a friend walked from the North Frayser Community Center, 2555 St. Elmo Avenue toward the friend’s house. When they reached the intersection of Wellons Avenue and Glenalp Street in the north Memphis neighborhood Johnson was shot.
It is believed the gunfire came from one or more subjects in a nearby 2010 Misubishi Gallant. Johnson died a short time after arriving at the Methodist North Emergency Room.

Walker was 75 years old, a retired Collierville Police officer, and was working at his family’s convenience store at 191 West Street in that town when he was fatally shot in a hold-up. Although shot in the stomach, Walker was able to place a call to 9-1-1. He died at the hospital. No one has ever been charged with Walker’s homicide.
Nineteen years later, the City of Collierville, decided to dedicate a bridge in Walker’s honor. Walker had been Collierville’s first African American policeman.

Dwayne McMahon, 52, of Snellville, Georgia, was driving a Honda CBR when he was struck by another car, possibly a dark-colored Honda, at 12:35 a.m. at the I-240 and I-55 interchange. The second car’s driver fled the scene. Three hours later, Memphian Landy Tarrance Jr., 20, was found dead at the scene on Covington Pike north of Raleigh LaGrange Road. He was killed when a Ford F-120 pickup struck his Suzuki. Two men jumped out of the truck and fled on foot.
Reports of a shooting brought Memphis Police officers to 65 East Yates Road South, just south of Walnut Grove Road in east Memphis. It was just after midnight on a Thursday — eight years ago.
The arriving policemen found two bodies inside the residence. Both victims, later identified as Anthony Conte, 26, and Robert Schmidt, 30, had died of multiple gunshot wounds. Evidence found in the house indicated the two were killed during a robbery. Witnesses described hearing a vehicle speed away shortly after hearing shots fired.

Memphis Police officers responded to a shooting report at 12:10 a.m. on a Thursday. They arrived at the location on Park Avenue between Echols and Goodman streets in east Memphis.
At the scene officers found a 2006 Kia SUV, which had struck a utility pole, as well as a male shooting victim lying in the street nearby and a second victim in the vehicle’s driver’s seat. The driver, Tadarius L. Tate and nicknamed “T.T.” died at the scene. He was 19 years old. The second victim survived.
Investigators need information to help solve this drive-by shooting that resulted in a homicide. Any information might help.
It was 2:40 on a Sunday morning when Memphis Police responded to a shooting in the parking lot of the Woodlake Apartment complex at Tchulahoma and Winchester. The exact address was 3304 S. Woodlake Circle.
On arrival the officers located a black sedan in the lot and then found Marie Barton, 33, who had been shot. She died at the scene. The information collected indicated there had been an attempted robbery or car jacking, resulting in Barton’s death.
