Christopher Guyton, 27, was in his front yard, headed to his car to drive to work a little after 5 a.m. Oct. 7, 2019, when one or more suspects approached him and fired several shots. Guyton was shot multiple times and fell to the ground where he died in the 2800 block of E. Hickory Bluff in Raleigh.
Neighbors heard shots, then screams that apparently came from the mother of Guyton’s one-year-old son in the house.
Said the victim’s uncle, Orko Guyton later to a reporter: “Somebody shot him and left. I can accept an accident. I can accept natural causes. But for someone to take someone’s life, for any reason, I am beyond angry.”
